Secondary Math 1: The main focus of Secondary Mathematics 1 is to formalize and extend the mathematics that students learned in the middle grades. Students will gain an understanding of linear relationships, in part by contrasting them with exponential relationships, and in part by applying linear models to data that exhibit a linear trend. Properties and theorems involving congruent figures will be used to deepen and extend understanding of geometric knowledge.

AP Statistics: An introductory, non-calculus based college level course which introduces students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data, including exploring data, statistical inference, planning a study, and using probability and simulation to anticipate patterns. Graphing calculators with statistical capabilities are an integral part of the course and of the Advanced Placement exam. University credit can be earned with a successful performance on the Advanced Placement exam.
